I've extracted this and I'll host it here for a while This the full install however and you really only need to replace the one file as I've indicated earlier. Or more spcifically for the serial adaptor here On the Prolific site the drivers are located here You will clearly see the version displayed. Go to the directory above and just 'mouse over' or right click on the ser2pl.sys file and look at it properties. Now you may want to look at what version is already installed anyway perhaps by some freak of nature you already have this. Please don't do this if you aren't computer savvy of course. The latest version I have found is 2.0.5.111 and is described as a 'Prolific USB-to-Serial Bridge Cable' driverĪs I mentioned before for those running XP assuming you have already installed the drivers supplied with the USB/Serial cable the all you need to do is to copy the later version of the ser2pl.sys into your \\windows\system32\drivers directory. OK for those that may want to try this ATEN/Prolific based driver update.
